What should you expect when you click to Start with BetterHelp?

This therapist offers services through BetterHelp. When you first click through to BetterHelp, you'll be asked to answer questions about yourself and what you're looking for in therapy. These questions give this therapist some background about you and what you are struggling with. You'll then be asked to set up a profile with an email address and password. You should set aside about 15 minutes for the sign-up process.

What kind of financial assistance is available?

BetterHelp offers financial aid based on your income. The discount is between 10% and 20%. To apply, complete the initial sign-up process, then click on the "Apply for financial aid" link. The financial aid questionnaire asks some basic questions about your income and will give you instant feedback if you qualify for a discounted rate.

I am a licensed mental health counselor, but I don't consider myself your "typical" therapist. I like to tailor my style to each individual client and family. My background, experience, and faith allow me a certain level of cultural awareness, which I believe goes a long way in successfully working with families across generations. My main goal is to help individuals/families work through whatever the current crisis may be, but also teach or enhance skills to help maintain stability. My counseling approach is individualized, as no one style or approach is right for every individual.

I have been in the mental health field for over 15 years. My educational experience includes a CAGS in Counseling, MA in Rehabilitation Counseling, and a BA in Psychology.

I encourage clients to look at different perspectives as we work on growing and rising above challenges that have been encountered, or are currently being faced.

I wanted to right a review about this woman who definitely has a gift to come along side you and bring to through pain and into a healthy place. I had the pleasure of having four sessions with her.
